The Demencia team set out on the adventure of the Taruguín project in 2010, starting with the recovery of some vineyards in Soria. Our old vineyard was planted on a unique terroir made up of an upper layer with a sandy texture and beneath it, limestone. It is on a slight slope. The winds blow mainly from the east, which together with the height (908 metres above sea level), brings the grapes to a perfect balance. Its freshness enables the wines to express a pleasant varietal nature. Most of the vines are Tinta del País, but there is also a small proportion of the Albillo variety, which we also use when making the wine.
