Cabarcos

Cabarcos, in Sobrado (León), lies at the heart of the Sierra de La Lastra. It borders on the province of Orense, opposite the village where we find beautiful rock formations which the locals call the Penouco, Penouquín, Madroñal and Tara.

At 760 metres above sea level, facing these mountains and southwest, we come across a gorgeous vineyard in the hills. The climate is similar to that in Galicia thanks to its location, although there is also a certain continental influence which favours the optimal ripening of grapes for ageing wines.  In 2017 we started collaborating with the Heirs Ulises Núñez. We are preserving extreme vineyards in search of the typical nature and freshness of a zone where the predominant species is the chestnut tree.
